SABA released this project a few days ago, and it's having a spread-like-wildfire moment. I'd go so far as to say that it is probably one of the highest quality mixtapes I've heard, striking another strong plus one in the Chicago Sounds column.
Beyond the music through, it's the "bucket list" design that is the best part of this release: each track ends with somebody -- from Lupe Fiasco to SABA's ex -- sharing items on their Bucket List. Certainly some are more "PG-13" than others, but regardless, I was struck by how imaginative each response was. A window into somebody's dreams, no matter how deep or small, is always a special thing. This project can't help but prompt the question for all of us:
