I had a moment recently when my multitasking came to a peak -- I could feel my mind spinning and an unnecessary anxiety spilling over from my chest to my brain. Lunch was the next thing on the To Do List, and so I made a point of eating lunch and only eating lunch in order to recenter myself. The meal lasted longer, and I noticed my urges to reach for the phone or the computer very clearly. I tried this experiment again at dinner and finished the meal more full and definitely more intrigued than I would have been otherwise.
